This is a set of five authentic Japanese boxwood (tsuge) combs made from the Showa to Heisei period (approximately mid-20th century to early 2000s).
Tsuge wood is highly valued in Japan for comb making due to its fine grain, durability, and gentle feel on the hair. These combs were traditionally used for daily grooming and kimono hairstyles.
Some combs in this set are unused, and all pieces are in very good condition with no cracks or major damage. The set includes different comb shapes and tooth styles, making it both practical and collectible.
A wonderful example of Japanese craftsmanship, suitable for use, collection, or display.
