This rayon bolt (tanmono) is a vintage fabric originally made for sewing a kimono during the early Showa period (approximately the 1920s–1930s).
The fabric is very soft and has a smooth, pleasant feel.
It features a beautiful design of flowing water and floral motifs on a black background, creating a classic Japanese pattern.
As shown in the photos, there are a few small areas of color loss and light surface wear caused by age. Considering its age, I believe the overall condition is very good.
This is a wonderful vintage fabric for collectors, sewing projects, or textile displays.
