Japanese Antique Silk Kimono Fabric Bolt Nadeshiko Flowers, Autumn Grasses & Insect Cage Motif 18093

This silk bolt (tanmono) is a deadstock fabric originally made for sewing a kimono during the Taisho period to the early Showa period (approximately the 1910s to 1930s).

The fabric is a lightweight, exceptionally soft silk with a smooth and pleasant feel.

The design features insect cages, autumn grasses, and nadeshiko (pink flowers), creating a beautiful traditional Japanese seasonal motif.

As shown in the photos, there are a few small, light stains in places, including on some of the plain white areas and the light blue sections of the insect cages. Considering its age, I believe the overall condition is very good.
